New management organisation structure paves the way for further growth in new markets and business areas
In order to develop the best possible traction for its ambitious strategic roadmap from within the holding company and to significantly accelerate the market launch of new adtech solutions, the Virtual Minds group completed its transformation from an AG to a GmbH with effect from 26 August 2021 and expanded its management team in the process.
In addition to Virtual Minds CTO Tom Peruzzi and Virtual Minds CFO Timo Gieb, the new management team also includes Ralf Hammerath (CEO Adition Technologies), Dino Bongartz (CEO The Adex) and Dirk von Borstel (CEO Yieldlab), who are taking on this position in addition to their management roles in the subsidiaries.
Bernd Hoffmann, a member of the Executive Board since September 2018 and CEO and Spokesman of the Executive Board of Virtual Minds AG since January 2019, intends to focus on his own entrepreneurial activities in the future. After more than two years at the helm of the holding company, he is therefore moving to the Advisory Board at his own request on 1 October and handing over the role of Spokesman to Tom Peruzzi. Since joining Virtual Minds in October 2017, Peruzzi has been responsible for the strategic expansion and technological integration of the modular programmatic full-tech stack across the Group.
Tim Veil, who previously worked as CFO and COO, left the company at his own request on 1 July to take on new professional responsibilities outside Virtual Minds.
Thomas Wagner, Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer of Seven. One Entertainment Group, explains: “The closer integration of the portfolio companies is an important step for Virtual Minds. I am convinced that the advertising market and we too will benefit from this on the product side in the future. Bernd Hoffmann has been extremely successful in developing Virtual Minds and its subsidiaries over the past few years together with their management teams, positioning them sustainably in the innovation-driven adtech environment and setting the course for the future. I would like to thank him very much for this and am delighted that he will continue to support Virtual Minds with his expertise as a member of the Advisory Board. I wish the management team around Tom Peruzzi every success for the further development of Virtual Minds!”
Bernd Hoffmann, outgoing CEO of Virtual Minds AG, says: “More than ever, the advertising industry and the media sector in Germany and Europe need a powerful European adtech offering that ensures maximum economic independence. It has been great to actively shape this and future solutions and I am delighted to now hand over the responsibility for continuing this success story into the proven hands of Tom Peruzzi and the new management team.”
And Tom Peruzzi, spokesman for the Virtual Minds management team, emphasises: “Adtech is a key driver in the development of marketing and advertising sales. In the programmatic sector in particular, we will inevitably see the dissolution of technology silos, further hybridisation of tech platforms and the trend towards holistic system optimisation in the coming years. At the same time, we will see fundamental changes in utilisation and marketing logics, particularly in the area of moving images. With the organisational management set-up we have now chosen and the associated closer integration of strategy and product development across all specialists in our Group, we are ideally equipped for this. My and our heartfelt thanks go to Bernd Hoffmann, who has played a key role in shaping our success to date. I am delighted that he will continue to provide Virtual Minds with his expertise as a member of the Advisory Board.”
